Epiphany 03:37
You found me out I heard you call loud and clear I begged you then Surrender now Don’t leave me here What can I hope to find On this long road of mine We spoke of change You said turn in go lose yourself But then it came Epiphany And nothing else Here where I’m bound to go As winds gather round to blow

about

Recording a new album from the first stages of its conception to sketching out the new pieces, experimenting in the studio and working on the arrangements all the way to the final mixed and mastered recording is always a very long and intense process. As all songwriters do, I often find myself with too many songs to choose from and have to put songs that I really like in the drawer as I either have, too many for one album or the songs just don’t fit into the final weave that I’m looking for.
With the Beating Drum subscription, I now at least have a way to share some of these songs with the people that follow my work the closest, so it’s my pleasure to be able to share with you a song that I named, Epiphany and that I wrote early on in the new album writing process. I played it on a wonderful instrument that’s a cross between an oud and a guitar and that was made for me by the French luthier Michel Cassan. I’ve deliberatly left the recording in a very unpolished demo-like state, I hope you'll enjoy it.

Piers Faccini France

If my songs were maps I'd want them to stretch from the English moors to the Saharan dunes via the plains of the Mediterranean.
